Habitual spontaneous abortion is defined as three or more consecutive miscarriages. Twenty-two to thirty-three percent of spontaneous abortions occur before clinical recognition as a pregnancy; an additional 9% to 14% of spontaneous abortions occur after pregnancy has been clinically recognized. This book is focused on the protection of female reproductive health.
